  Prim Jet Color pigment dispersions are organic and inorganic pigments pre-dispersed in various resin systems such as RS & SS grade nitrocellulose, water based acrylic, polyamide, vinyl, CAB, Polyvinyl Butyral resins for application in high quality inkjet inks, printing inks, paints and coatings.


  With the advanced technology, Prim Jet Color pigment dispersion is dedicated in developing and producing pigment dispersions in both liquid and chip forms to meet the customers' different requirement.

   Prim Jet Color Pigmented Concentrated Ink offer the complete pigment pre-dispersion with the outstanding advantages. Packaging printing inks made from pigmented Concentrated Ink have the excellent gloss and high transparency. In most cases, Prim Jet Color pigmented dispersions are available both in chip and paste forms. Prim Jet Color pigmented Concentrated Ink can be easily used for producing excellent quality printing inks, paints and coatings without much investment in facilities and machinery. Ink makers can use pigmented Concentrated Ink to meet flexible orders or to make high quality chip inks for customers' specific requirement.


  Prim Jet Color Pigmented Concentrated Ink create great chances for small ink producers to produce excellent quality printing inks without much technology and equipments. Ink makers can have maximum flexibility of adjusting their ink formulations by using pigmented Concentrated Ink because the chips can be directly used or dissolved into paste form with varnish in their ink formulations. The cost of chip inks made from pigmented Concentrated Ink is similar to those of conventional printing inks but the chip ink quality is more superior and competitive.


  Prim Jet Color liquid pigment dispersions are available from nano grade to sub-micro grade. Nano grade pigment dispersion are sophisticated dispersions mainly used for water based inkjet inks and solvent based inkjet inks, UV curing inkjet inks . Sub-micro grade pigment dispersions are used in producing ultra-fine colorants for printing inks, deluxe paints, automotive coatings as well as for synthetic fibers, synthetic leathers, optical cables, wood stains, stationery, seed coatings, water based paints, etc..

  Prim Jet Color pigment dispersions are organic and inorganic pigments pre-dispersed in various systems such as nitrocelluloses, water-based acrylic co-polymer, polyamide, vinyl co-polymer, Cellulose Acetate Butyrate, Polyvinyl Butyral resins for use in making water based and solvent based inkjet inks, flexographic inks, rotogravure printing inks, UV curing inks as well as in deluxe paints, lacquers and automotive coatings.
 

  Prim Jet Color nano pigment dispersions are superfine colorants for use in producing pigmented desktop inkjet inks and industrial wide format inkjet inks with the narrowest particle distribution, excellent light fastness and jetability.
 

  Prim Jet Color pigmented concentrated inks create great chances for ink makers to produce the excellent quality flexo and gravure printing inks without much investment in technology and equipments. Ink makers can have maximum flexibility of adjusting their ink formulations by using pigmented concentrated inks because the chips can be directly used or dissolved into the paste form with varnish in their ink formulations. Nano-Dispersed Pigments

 

 

  Prim Jet Color nano-dispersed pigments are pigments dispersed into nano or sub-nano grade particle size for use in inkjet inks, printing ink modification, paints & coatings.
 

  Nano-dispersed pigment has the following characteristic:

  • Narrow particle size distribution

  Prim Jet Color nano-dispersed pigments can be used in following applications:

  • Inkjet Inks
    Nano-dispersed pigments have the properties of the narrowest particle distribution, excellent light fastness, weather resistance and jetability. The dispersions are mainly used in producing desktop water based pigment inkjet inks, solvent based wide format inkjet inks and UV curing inkjet inks.

     

  • Printing Inks
    In traditional printing inks, adding 3-5% of nano grade pigments can definitely improve the tinting strength, color saturation and gloss. Nano-dispersed pigment paste is the best solution for modification of traditional printing inks.

     

  • Paints & Coatings
    In paints and coatings, adding small amount of nano-dispersed pigments can improve the color saturation and color gamut, color development.

     

  • LCD
    Nano-dispersed pigments can also be used in colorizing LCD filters to increase the color gamut and light penetrability.

     

  • Textile Printing
    With the textile ink jet printing development, traditional textile printing will be replaced by textile inkjet printing by using nano grade pigments.

Nitrocellulose Pigmented Concentrated Ink

 

 

  Main Products and Applications:

  Prim Jet Color Nitrocellulose Pigmented Concentrated Inks are pre-dispersed based pigments in both RS and SS grade nitrocellulose. These Concentrated Inks are used in combination with other resins for flexographic and rotogravure inks, coating and cosmetic applications.

   Nitrocellulose Pigmented Concentrated Inks are usually available in both chip and paste forms. As dictated by the applications, the paste dispersions may be available as either super transparent pigments with properties comparable to the chip products or as highly dispersed concentrates with somewhat less transparency. It can provide maximum application compatibility.

Polyvinyl Butyral Pigmented Concentrated Ink

Acrylic Pigmented Concentrated Ink

 

  Main Products and Applications:

  Prim Jet Color Acrylic Pigmented Concentrated Inks are 100% solids pigment dispersion in water soluble styrenated acrylic resin. Cellulose Acetate Butyrate Pigmented Concentrated Ink

 

  Main Products and Applications:

  Prim Jet Color Cellulose Acetate Butyrate Pigment Concentrated Inks are pre-dispersed organic and inorganic pigments in cellulose acetate butyrate resin system. Since this resin can be applied both as thermoplastic film formers and crosslink coating modifiers, cellulose acetate butyrate pigment concentrated ink has a wide range of applications, especially in the coatings industry. Our concentrated inks are compatible with UV curing system in inks and coatings.

How to use Concentrated Inks

 

  To achieve the maximum quality, some dissolving techniques are required. The use of low energy agitators or the traditional sweat-in technique in which chips are soaked in diluents are NOT recommended due to low resulting quality and long equipment tie-ups respectively.

  A high speed stirrer is indispensable for cutting the pigmented chips. Vessel diameter should be 2.5-3 times of the blade diameter and the height of stirrer should be 1/3 of the blade or stirrer diameter from the bottom of the vessel.

  A good starting formula for dissolving the chips would compose 30% pigmented chip dispersions plus 70% solvents. As the experience dictates, the ratio can be modified since the viscosity and concentration of the final paste depends on the concentration of pigmented chips and the type of binders and solvent.

  Acrylic pigmented chip is different in formula. If water is to be used as the primary solving medium, a good starting composition of 86% water, 8% ammonium hydroxide and 6% isopropanol should be introduced to the vessel.

  For baking finishes, some higher boiling amines such as dimethylethanol amine should replace ammonium hydroxide. The acrylic pigmented chip should be added to the starting point diluent under high agitation with the PH of 8-9 for total resin solubility. If other water reducible resin is to be added to the concentrate solution, more amine should be included for solubility.

  • Machinery
    Existing high speed stirrers with saw tooth blade. Speed of blade tip should reach 1500 meters per min. A stirrer with 40cm diameter with 1100-1440 rpm is suitable.
     

  • Vessel
    Vessel diameter = 3 x blade or stirrer diameter (approx. But not more). These conditions ensure the good mixing without any dead spots.
     

  • Mixing Time
    Within 60 minutes.
     

  • Mixing Method
    - Under agitation charge the majority of solvents to the mixing tank (low shear- 400 to 600 rpm). Hold out 10 to 20% of the solvent for viscosity adjustment after all the chip is dissolved.

    - Under good agitation (1000 rpm) with the impeller in the centre of the tank introduce the pigmented chips into vortex. After adding the chips, speed should be adjusted to 2000 rpm to keep chip under constant movement in tank.

    - As the pigmented chip dissolves and viscosity increases, speed and blade height should be adjusted to keep the good movement in tank.

    - When a semi-fluid paste is apparent, the disperser should be stopped and mixing tank scraped carefully for the undissolved chips.

    - After scraping, shift the blade off centre ½-1 blade diameter in order to use optimum laminar flow produced by the blade configuration.

    - After all the chip has been dissolved let down with remainder of solvent under good agitation and run 5-10 min for complete mixing.
