KRYSTAL TOP COAT

An inkjet printable gloss coat to help preserve your important prints. It’s designed to replace and improve upon spray cans usually employed for this purpose. When properly applied, it has the following attributes and benefits:

  • No solvent smell

  • No spray cans to dispose of

  • No spray mist to deal with

  • Eliminates “bronzing”

  • Water resistant

  • Very uniform coats can be applied

  • Coating thickness simple to control

  • Seals ink from pollutants

  • Non-flammable

  • Not harmful to ozone layer

  • Reduces metamerism

  • Enhances saturation

  • Extra UV Protection

  • Very high gloss

  • Reduces marring and scratches

  • Less costly than spray cans

  • Brightens image

  • Finger prints and light scratches can be buffed out with ordinary household furniture polish

  • Enhances overall “quality look” of your prints

  • Cost effective

Designed primarily for use on gloss and semi gloss coated media but will also afford some protection to prints done on matte papers without making the prints glossy. On gloss and semi gloss papers the gloss of the print will be generally enhanced.

  • Can be used in all piezo printers and plotters

  • Can be used in HP51645A and Lexmark black cartridges and Encad plotters

  • It is waterproof within 24 hours - if the media is also waterproof

  • Since the prints are usually only coated on the printed side, this coating does not replace lamination. It is intended to replace the use of "spray cans" containing clear coating

  • It has not been evaluated for use over solvent ink. We suspect it would not be of great benefit

  • For head cleaning use our new flush/purge fluid PJC 820

  • The product has head drying characteristics similar to that of any inkjet ink

  • The UV resistance is increased by 10-25 % depending on the amount of coating applied

  • It works very well over all our pigmented inks

  • Density = 1.05 g/ml

  • Viscosity = 3.5 - 3.9 cps at 20°C
